Whats your kitchen/cooking supplies look like?

I'm getting ready to have guest over to cook. I was wondering since its all about culinary arts. What does your kitchen area/cooking supplies look like.

Thats my stuff. Show me yours.

my place is a mess. my kitchen is horrible, though. it's laid out badly and there are no windows, and the storage kinda sucks. it's only temporary though, another year at most. nod

Nice layout karma...i wonder what Gil Grissom would say of this?

Obsessive compulsive with an overwhelming desire for order, everything must have it's place, because without order his/her world fall apart and the foundations and structures build over decades in the mind would simply fall away, leading to an overwhelming desire to murder small puppies in their sleep.

I built the shelf myself. The Pots and Pans are from William and Sonoma. And the dishes are cost plus world market and Target!

yeah, but the reason i moved was because it was a lower floor and it had way more sunlight. it wasn't so much about the kitchen.

I have mismatching cups since I have broken so many glass cups! aghk! I should buy plastic cups and plates.
I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

My pots and pans were gifts from my brother and his wife so I can't complain, but they aren't very pretty. Someday I will invest in a new set. I have a black set of dishes and a white set of dishes. Actually, most of my kitchen stuff were presents from my brother and his wife. As such, they are their taste, not my own. And I feel weird about replacing perfectly good items that have plenty of use in them. confused
But there will come a time that I will.
I think once you reach a certain age, if you're not already married you should be allowed to have one big "I'm an adult now" party so you can register for stuff. That way you can get the things you want. lol And if you get married later, then you can forego the gift party at that point.

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

People kept telling me to have a house warming after my last move, I still had a number of things I needed. But it seems like a lot of trouble to go through (picking a date when I feel like it, inviting people, worrying about them parking, having a house full of folks, feeding those mf's) just to get some pots & shit lol I'd rather buy it as I can & have mf's over when I feel like it... which may be never confused

First and foremost, I am impressed you even know what a ramikin is! Second of all, its not a ashtray, its a bowl that my ex fiance made for me in a ceramics class in college, Its one of the few things of hers that I did not throw away. Its a very nice dish and I like it. lol

First, your ex fiancee was a stoner because she made you an ashtray.

Second, you don't think CalhounSq knows what a ramekin is? lol

Ya'll are spot on with these "What does your *stuff in your house* look like threads!

woot!

Right now my kitchen is horrible. I've never liked the kitchen in this house. We bought this house thinking we'd re-do the kitchen but never did because we quickly out-grew the house, which is why we hope to get a new one.

Anyways, my kitchen is horrible. Tiny cabinets, almost ZERO counter top space...I hate it.

I have all hand me down kitchen ware because I've been waiting to get the kitchen I want before I buy new stuff.
