I'm totally stalling........

I don't want to go over my parents house. It's kind of like the Costanza's....all the dysfunction, but not as funny.

That angry baby is so cute! The Constanza parents are so funny!
I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

Salmon! drool That's my favorite kind of fish.

As far as Jersey's original question, my parents live close to me (about 10 minutes away). But we're close, so it's all good.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

And I can imagine, Jersey being Italian, that family gatherings are rather loud. lol

My parents live out of state.
You may as well do it and get it over with. Take some flowers for mother's day, and do your best to avoid conflicts. Stay neutral on hot topics. If it's a nice day, sit outside. Take an ipod and listen to relaxing music if there's an opportunity.
I feel for you. I avoid political discussions when I visit my parents. My dad once stormed out of the room with a topic we were debating.

My grandma, when I did yardwork for her for a buck an hour, NEVER said anything in a normal voice. It was always a well meant yell: "You need to scrape the old paint, and then paint the Blessed Jesus in white!!" Same with St. Francis of Assisi, also in the garden. Between her and my Irish mom, yelling was a norm.
