My friend wore an extremely toned down version of this in black where the side slits were a lot smaller, but still noticeable (at my parents' house on Thanksgiving weekend yet). I saw it from far away and commented on her underwear riding up, but then when I got closer realized it was all part of her pants. I thought it was cool.
