Never mayo with Mexican food.

really? my wife's late grandparents owned a restaurant for 20 years and they always used mayo in the Guacamole

I have several Mexican cookbooks and no mayo in the guacamole. It must be an American version.
Diane Kennedy's is one of the best books for authentic Mexican cooking. (The blue one.)

Home made flour tortillas are the best

I know that's right...My mom stopped making them because we used to eat them right off of the skillet. drool With butter or avacado and salt...drool
My brother in law's wife still makes them....she makes a combination flour and corn tortilla...it's actually very good. The restaurant the we like in Mexicantown (here in Detroit) make their own tortillas in the window.

Ya'll eat flower tortillas with avocado too? So do we! What part of Mexico are you guys from?
We are from the north being Monterrey. (Everyone in Texas is from there-Everyone Mexican that is. Or atleast it seems like it).
Well, we also eat machacado which is like dried beef meat. cool!
I love to eat elotes (corn) whith a bunch of chile on it! (spicy stuff on it).
Love tostadas de pollo (chicken tostadas)
bean tostadas
avocado tostadas
cheese and bean tostadas
I am not too crazy about mole, but I kinda like posole and menudo.
I don't like cabrito!
I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.
