The problem with "spicy" food A lot of places advertise to have "spicy" food, but its just not spicy! None of those "spicy" hot sauces at Taco Bell and Jack In The Box are spicy! I put more than two packs of the red extra hot sauce in Taco Bell tacos when I eat them, and I put hot sauce on fries too!
I think the hot sauce or salsa is really spicy if you cry! Anyone else's opinion? I know we have different opinions on what spicy is, but I think a lot of food out there in Mexican and taco places don't have spicy sauces. I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

Fast food "spices" are just an excuse. But get me some lamb vindaloo from a good Indian restaurant and I'm yours. :swoon: Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

I love spicy food. I use tabasco, that stuff rox!
And yeah most places are watered down spicy so it's not authentic. Go to Korean, Vietamese, or Thai or East Indian places who have food that's spicy and can spice it up as hot as you like. Plus there are dishes that are not listed on the menu. check it out. Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! i have that problem too. which is why there are some kinds of spicy i will eat and some i won't. i gave up jalapenos for that reason. but i never have a problem with hot curries or chinese hot sauces or chili pastes, so i will load up on that stuff like crazy. i still eat lots of mexican food, but i tend to eat it medium-mild which is totally lame, but bathroom drama is totally lamer.

There are different kinds of spicy.
I like the Dijon mustard that makes your nose burn, and I like the hot peppers that burn your tongue. I agree that fast food places don't really make it spicy. I can't wait for my girlfriend to make me some real spicy Mexican food.

I can't have anything even vaguely spicy. I can pick jalapenos off of a frozen supermarket pizza, cook it and the traces of the pepper will still make my tongue swell up and the whole thing inedible.

Jalapenos forever! But sometimes those are not really that spicy either. Yeah, the chiles they use in thai & chinese food are stronger. I love jalapenos, though, too. Some peppers are too strong. And I have to be careful because I wear contact lenses. When I cok with them I can't ever seem to wash my hands enough. btw, the ones I was talking about are called Dorset Naga, and they're from bangladesh. Actually jalapenos are pretty low on the list (according to Scoville heat index) Bell pepper--0 jalapeno--5500 cayenne--23000 serrano--25000 Thai--60000 Habanero--150000 tabasco--190524 dorset naga--923000 bih/bhut jolokia--1,000,000 My Legacy

Many people can't handle hot, spicey foods. We keep four different types of chile sauce available at home: chinese, Mexican, (red and green), Tabasco. When we have guests, we serve roasted chili on the side so those who like spicey can add it to the food. This accommodates those who like mild and those who like hot.
