"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only." Charles Dickens in 1859 "Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive."

OMG...girl...it SO was...all the gender bending and everything...it was just amazing. I'm so happy I grew up during that time. I guess the 60s would have been good too, in a different way. Those of us who were teens in the 70s or 90s have every right to be bitter about it. We missed the good decades. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

Late 90's-early millenium.
I sometimes think that was a horrible time to grow up. But then when I look at the 60's, 70's and 80's, I see that life was a little easier for me and my generation. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.
