I grew up in Reagan era, but always held a feeling of nostalgia and loss for the 60's teenager I never got to be. sad

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only."

Can there be any doubt that the best time in all of human history to be a teenager was 1982 - 1988?

Lucky bastards. pout

OMG...girl...it SO was...all the gender bending and everything...it was just amazing. I'm so happy I grew up during that time.

biggrin

I guess the 60s would have been good too, in a different way.

Those of us who were teens in the 70s or 90s have every right to be bitter about it. We missed the good decades. lol

I hated pissed growing up in the 80's. It felt so repressed and conservative. disbelief In retrospect, I can see it was cool, but at the time, I found the whole scene depressing.

Late 90's-early millenium.

I sometimes think that was a horrible time to grow up. But then when I look at the 60's, 70's and 80's, I see that life was a little easier for me and my generation. nod
