Would you marry someone just to get a visa, or a promotion or anything that has nothing to do with real marriage?

I would marry for sex, shoes, diamonds, holidays and Bombay Sapphire gin..

maybe. it'd depend on the circumstances, of course, and i wouldn't stay married to them.

Weird that I never thought of that. I suppose a woman and a man looking to get into another country that way is a bit different. It wouldn't occur to me to give a man money to marry me.
I once superficially looked into becoming a mail order bride. If I had the looks, I might even do it.
And if I'm helping someone else to come here, it would be cause it's a friend who I love and trust and want to live near me, I don't think I'd do it for money.
