I love Ed Norton, but don't know if he suits Banner too well. I thought he would have KILLED as Daredevil though.

I can't figure out what it is about him. I think it's because he looks like he can kick my ass then turn around and do my taxes.

Didn't they DO an incredible Hulk movie? Is this a sequel or someone going "I can make a better Hulk than Ang Lee"?

I think Ed Norton works as Bruce Banner. Banner is supposed to be a skinny nerdy scientist. Eric Bana was too much of a hunk.

Having said that, I may be the only person in the world, but I really liked Ang Lee's Hulk movie. But I like Ang Lee movies and art films in general--two things admittedly that a Hulk movie should NOT be.

Ang Lee's movie sucked. He's a good director but not for a comic book movie.

You and me baby, you and me! He did it best in American History X.

I loved the movie - Lee touched on a lot of themes in the Hulk comic. The themes in the Hulk are pretty dark and not for kids(dual personalities, child abuse, spousal murder all happened in the comic). Universal marketed this movie wrong. It's not a summer action flick like Spider-man. They should have released it in the fall.

I'm afraid Marvel might go overboard with the sequel, and turn it into another X-Men 3 or F4.

As much as it pains me to say, XMen3 would be an improvement on the first Hulk. I'd take Lee over Ratner in anything else, though.

Aw man, trust me, I LOVE Norton, he's one of my favorite actors, I just don't know if he fits Banner. I agree with the guy in the article, Buscemi would OWN that roll.

As Banner? That would be interesting because he'd be so weak looking as Banner that it would make his transformation even more impressive. nod

X3 was a dumb film. Hulk was a smart film. Maybe Hulk needed to be a dumb film, but I don't like dumb films (generally). That's why I liked Ang Lee's Hulk. shrug

That sounds vaguely like an insult towards me. Xmen3 had some decent ideas delivered with Ratner's hacky touch(Singer left at the last minute, I think). Hulk was boring and I don't think of it as any smarter just because it was boring. I like my films to be entertaining. shrug

I meant dumb in how the movie was directed, which was very heavy-handed. There was a finesse in the way Ang Lee directed Hulk which might have been out of place for a movie like that. I didn't find it boring at all.

I kind of liked the Hulk too, though the father element was kinda stupid.

The only part I didn't like was Bruce's dad became a second rate Absorbing Man. But the issues he had with his dad was very important to contributing to Bruce's fragile psyche.

I should have elaborated, yeah, that's the part I was referencing. I remember watching that scene and giving the big old " rolleyes "

...and Mr. Lee got Ol' Greenskin's powers right. It was awesome watching him leap miles at a time.
