I asked to be seen by a surgeon. They told me it would be a couple of hours; I said I'd wait. When the surgeon got there, she took one look at me and said "we need a CAT scan. She needs another operation." Thank God for her.

Aw, I'm still happy. It'll take more than this to get me really down. It's some temporary pain, an interruption of my life, and a scar. But:

It's spring, I can hear birds singing out my window, and there is a tree across the street that I can see out the window that burst into bloom while I was in the hospital. It's beautiful. There's one next to it that is just starting to form buds. My daughters are old enough to take pretty good care of themselves, and my mother has been here helping. My honey calls me all day to make me giggle and rant about the world. My boss may (may, we'll see) swing something to cover me for the days I'm missing.

I am blessed!
