I am grateful to each one of my friends here who have prayed for me, sent me healing energy, left posts to show support, and sent me sweet orgnotes to check on me. Believe me, it's deeply appreciated.

I think it's time to go sit on my ass and watch Food Network. Doctor's orders.

The surgeon would have caught it at the follow-up appointment if he wasn't so busy being vain about the cut he made, like Chris said. Aw, I'm still happy. It'll take more than this to get me really down. It's some temporary pain, an interruption of my life, and a scar. But:

It's spring, I can hear birds singing out my window, and there is a tree across the street that I can see out the window that burst into bloom while I was in the hospital. It's beautiful. There's one next to it that is just starting to form buds. My daughters are old enough to take pretty good care of themselves, and my mother has been here helping. My honey calls me all day to make me giggle and rant about the world. My boss may (may, we'll see) swing something to cover me for the days I'm missing.
