Halloween really freeked me out! But psychological thrillers scare me the most. I think some of the stories are so creepy they freek me out more than someone getting stabbed or something. I just think that is more gross than scary.

Although Sleepaway Camp really scared me at the end!

´The Shining´ is painfully frightening. ´Dont Look Now´ is also extremely disturbing.

Ringu (original japanese version of the Ring)

They're making an American version of Gin Gwai (The Eye)....Jessica Alba's gonna be in the remake. The original was pretty freaky. lol It's probably gonna suck like most U.S versions of these Japanese films.

Whichever was the most moronic. Because stupid movies are always scary. lol Unfortunately, I can't make one decision because I think most of the horror movies I've seen are pretty stupid, thus scary. Which kind of defeats the purpose of them not being scary in the first place, but OK. It's kind of like a joke that's not funny, so it's funny. hmm lol

Alright.....well I condsider myself to be the authority on this because I compiled three top twenty scariest movies of all time lists from reputable sources and then watched them over two years.....here are my findings

Halloween 1, Nightmare on elm street 1, and Scream 1 are all scary as hell when you see the THE FIRST TIME

High tension gets my vote for scariest of all time!!!! Night of the living dead (1990) is pretty good too IMO but high tension will scare you for sure!!!! The shining, and blair witch are good, if you like booo-ahhhhh!!!! movies then the new, "When a Stranger Calls" actually was okay!

Exorcist: #1 overrated scary movie ever

Rosemarys baby, nosferatu, carnival of souls are all stupid and not worth your time

I adore horror movies and try to watch as many as I can. The one that has impacted me the most is "Jaws", as I refuse to go in the ocean. I have nightmares about being chased by sharks about twice a month.

I can understand not being scared by these movies, but to say they are stupid is a bit much. I'd rank "The Exorcist", "Rosemary's Baby" and "Nosferatu" as classic, CLASSIC movies of the ages, even if they didn't scare me to the degree that others have.

I saw this movie in the theater when it came out, and the guy in front of me (who incidentally came to the movie by himself and was eating popcorn off of the floor) just about crapped his pants at that scene as he grabbed the seat in front of him and screamed like a little girl. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen at a movie theater! lol

I remember the Silence of the Lambs freaked out the whole audience when the lights went out and the guy was looking at her with the night vision goggles.

Oh man! I forgot about Silence of the Lambs with Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins! Fucking scary ass flick, great suspense and well edited!

Another one... Seven with Brad Pitt, Kevin Spacey and Morgan Freeman.
