I have to admit- I needed to go back to these pictures tonight before bed. I just watched the news and with all of the stories about the tragedy in Virginia today- all of the horrific images they showed- I needed to re-center myself and see something beautiful before I went to sleep. Thanks again JD

It's right on the Argentinian border, right? Funny how all the world's biggest waterfalls are squeezed in between big countries...
It is and Paraguay is close by too. I wanted to go to the Argentinian side as you get closer inside the falls but I dont have the money. The Brazilian side gives you a great overview though as the pics show. yeah it was the happiest day of my life I was lucky to do the Argentinian side one day and the Brazilian side the next. This is probably the most awesome place on earth and I hope I get to go there again one day while I can still manage the slippery boardwalks We hired a remis driver for a day to take us over the border (illegally lol) and he drove us around to see stuff, like that hydro plant I forget what it was called! And we had those butterflies all over us too!

Was the water too cold? No but you get a lot of spray when you go into the Devil´s Throat! I was trying to take photos but it was impossible at times! There's Joy In Expatriation.

I couldn't go on the boat ride as I was pregnant at the time.

Sterling pictures there, son Always wanted to go to Brazil. Me and two other mates had planned to go for New Years 2002. Then a month before the trip one of them caught a crazy rare eye infection and the other broke his leg We paid a stupid price for tickets too and in the end lost out on a hefty non-refundable percentage
Anyways, ~huff~, Those snaps of the falls are very spectacular. I've some nice contrasting ones of the Victoria Falls from '94 and 2002 (just don't have the gizmos to post them up ). Keep putting your best foot forward, mate. We're all loving your holiday accounts "..My work is personal, I'm a working person, I put in work, I work with purpose.."
