I know, cool, right?

Very cool! I was considering going there for their culinary arts program. I've always loved cooking and I want to open my own restaurant/jazz club one day.

I should definitely check it out, especially if I can get some yoga out of the deal. wink

Oh yeah, I've heard their culinary arts program is good. I keep meaning to check out the cafe. nod

Jazz club. . .nice. smile

I did it again last night.

It was slightly easer and that made me very happy.

I sweat like a mofo while doing it, though.

Maybe if I make it pornographic I'll get a better response to this thread.

It helps a little.

Now tell me what you were wearing in your dream. Tights? Shorts?

sorry i have no recollection
my man's back is fucked (irl)
and physical therapy has started him off
doing the thing where you keep your hips on
the ground but lift your upper body up

so we both went to yoga shrug

but i know it would kick my ass too. confused
if i would be wearing anything it would be stretchy pants
to accomodate my ever widening ass neutral no shorts. not in this lifetime.

OK, seriously. The FIRST position I did...it felt like I dislocated my shoulder.

I am really, really, REALLY out of shape.

I'm trying to not get discouraged about this. confused

Wow...it sounds like it. Are you in a class or are you doing a tape or dvd? Things will get easier as you continue to do them. I just started doing the Turbo Jam DVDs and they are kicking my ass. I can only do about 20 min before I want to pass out. lol

Oh my god I love you!!! You may have given me the answer to something I've been trying to figure out for three years now!! I just looked up SPD. My doctor has given up trying to figure out why I've got such pain in my groin and hip. You're my new best friends I think!!

And I would also love to do yoga. I heard that Courtney Love lost a lot of weight doing it. (maybe) hmm

Yeah...yoga and crack.

Yes, I am really out of shape in the sense that I carry a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders and my flexibility has gone to shit.

I'm doing it at home since I don't have the option of going to a class.

Does anyone else here do it on a regular basis?

It was my first time ever and I seriously thought I was gonna die while doing it.

Please tell me it gets easier. How long will the feeling of my limbs being ripped off my body while I am doing it last?

I hurt and I have the shakes now. sad

It sounds like you are doing a very physically intense form of yoga. There are forms that require less, which you could start with. You said you are doing it alone? Have you read up on it in depth about all the possible effects it can have on your body and mind?

I do too...I actually went to physical therapy for it for a while because it's related to migraines.
All that stretching can be really painful when your muscles are so tense! Once your muscles loosen up you're going to feel a lot better.
