No disrespect to Christopher Guest's other films, but these two are the best IMO. I'm watching Best In Show now Comedy Central, and it makes for a tough choice, but I'm going with Waiting For Guffman.

i saw a blurb lately hinting at a christopher guest improved TV series. this could give his style of filmmaking a much-needed kick in the pants, or it could be a miserable failure. i think he needs to phase out some of his repertory, including (and how i HATE saying this) parker posey.

guffman... way more guffman.

but not parker! i can't imagine a guest anything without parker, willard, eugene and catherine. that thin blond woman too is awesome.

i LOVE coolidge, but she's gotten a bit stale. i could live without here, balaban, mckean and a few others.

I think This Is Spinal Tap was their real masterpiece. The rest range from "meh" to "mildly amusing" in my opinion.

As a participant in community theatre (albeit good community theatre), Guffman gets my vote. I have seen all those people more times than I can tell you.

Best in Show--Fred Willard is the man! His dog show announcing is the highlight.

the lady who played the lesbian dog trainer in best in show totally SALVAGED that movie for me. i thought it was so-so aside from her scenes and jennifer coolidge's scenes.
