Which Orger has the greatest cultural influence on you? Which Orger has had the most cultural influence on you? I mean in terms of hooking you up to new and interesting music, art, literature and stuff you otherwise wouldnt have discovered... [Edited 4/9/07 13:51pm] There's Joy In Expatriation.

JD - music - You're always sending me stuff to check out, and I always like what you recommend. Stax - books - I've really enjoyed/am enjoying the last few recommendations made. He gets my taste. Anx - movies - Never gone wrong with a suggestion yet. Over the years I've recieved lots of great music suggestions, songs and CDs from JD, Gooey, Anx, GangstaFam, Imago, SuperSpaceBoy, Finess, Case/SnakePeel... I'm likely forgetting several someones. One thing I adore about this site is how much we all love music, and how much we like to share that with each other. |

We shouldnt let it stop as it has done recently. I hope that hasnt got to do with certain things. I will pull my finger out and make some compilations when I get back home. Number23, for several years, threw my entire musical situation for a loop and unintentionally opened my eyes to all sorts of acts whom I may have never checked out otherwise. I'm very thankful for that.
Dan (Imago), Chris (Anx), and Nick (Fauxie) have had pretty impressive effects on the overall improvements I've made in the past year when it comes to nutrients/health, healing, etc. It surely wasn't intentional, but I trust their judgement and perspectives. They've helped me wonders and don't even realize it. A certain unnamed orger is replenishing my stolen Prince collection for no reason other than he's an incredibly nice, generous soul. I'm still thinking of proper ways to repay him. What an huge gift. [Edited 4/9/07 14:03pm] Oh shit, my hat done fell off

I think I agree with you. I've made some pretty interesting acquaintances here and some of you I'd like to consider friends (as I have met some of you IRL), but none of you have had a cultural influence on me.....I am who I am.

Probably LleeLlee, mainly because we're closest so we naturally share a lot of stuff.
But she's turned me on to some incredibly great writers/movies/music etc. She doesn't like Bollywood, which is a strike against her, but we can't all be golden. Plus Istenszek has got me into some great authors (I'd love to rumble his shelves! ) DiminutiveRocker (my partner in Lem), Cortes too, Dan, and many others, whose tastes I respect and who have caused my book shelves and music rack to swell beyond what we can rightly hold.
