Yeah, there's nothing wrong with being afraid of sharks (or snakes or spiders, for that matter) but the phobia seems to be how it might affect your life. Like if you never went outside for fear of spiders that might be less than healthy.

Odd to have so many nightmares! I blame Animal Planet's Shark Week and all those shots of great whites chomping on meat beside boats in slow motion.

Can you bear the movie Jaws? I remember riding that ride at Universal Studios. I think even a person who dislike sharks would enjoy that.

I'm okay with sharks, generally, I swim in the ocean (though I wouldn't really get in the ocean here in Northern california--it's too cold and great whites actually do attack people here).

I don't think the Universal Studio ride will scare anyone unless they're pretty young. Do they still have that? I rode that like 20 years ago!

When I rode it they still had the A-Team things, too!
