Count me in on that - I guess if I was in a really REALLY good mood I could watch actors play around w/ ridiculous sums of money when the shit isn't even interesting (I know it happens all the time, but there's something especially gaudy about this franchise - maybe that Soderberg is @ the helm yet there's NOTHING HAPPENING). I was stupid enough to see the first one b/c of Andy Garcia love but I'll never see another one if I can help it hmph!

I couldn't put my finger on it but you have. That's what's wrong with the movies. THERE IS NOTHING HAPPENING!!!! I thank you.

300.

It is the worst movie I have seen recently.

All Kung Fu movies. The genre makes no sense, but it has a cult like following

eek Seriously?

Do you like the soundtrack?!

I like some of Let's Go Crazy, the chorus to Take Me With U, The Beautiful Ones (outrageous genius), Tthe backwards 'Hello How R U? etc', When Doves Cry's four part harmonies and the first two verses & the instrumental coda & fade out to Purple Rain. I like I Would Die 4 U when I'm drunk and I've always disliked Baby I'm A Star except at the Superbowl where it sounded quite wonderful.

300 was nothing special, but not bad at the same time. It was like bland rice. I have to agree on the Kung Fool movies.

Sorry, but it's hard to remember "You Can't Win" and "Brand New Day."

hmph! Kung Fu movies succeed because they operate under the assumption that sometimes, mindless entertainment is just that.....not transcendant, not life altering....just mindless entertainment....

Martial arts films over the last five years or so have been incredibly well done. I love Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Hero and House Of Flying Daggers. Even something as silly as Curse Of The Golden Flower is watchable.

I may be wrong but the kung fu genre that was being referred to was probably Saturday morning kung fu theater type movies.....high flying, death defying long distance kicks..... lol

Yeah, that's why I clarified by saying over the last five years. But haven't you seen the movies I mentioned? People are practically flying when they fight in those films. lol

My fave, believe it or not, is Iron Monkey....its not cinematically good as CT, HD but the action sequences are a modern take on KF theater.....Tiger was good, but after the first time I saw it, it has the uncanny knack to put me right to sleep about a third of the way thru.....but they are all beautifully done films...the cinematography is awesome and the effects are fun to watch.....nod
