Sorry LOTR fans, but Tolkien tortured me with endless chapters were you followed once group of folks for page after page after page before going back to the other group--the story just didn't move the way a novell should. The movies were paced brilliantly in comparison.

The movies were better than the books as far as LOTR goes. But both tend to be incredibly long-winded for me. I think it's the action scenes; I've never been big on those.

I was wildly happy with the movies, even though some major difference occur in the movies as opposed to the book.


In contract I think the Narnia Books are better. They're more fun and far better paced. But the movie sucked ass.
