i balled at the end of that film...i had no desire to see it cause i can't stand farrell but decided to after noticing queen latifah was in it and boy oh boy am i glad i did...i loved loved loved this film. and farrell was great in it...toned down all his annoying ticks and sh*t.

This is how sappy I am. When Will's character starts playing that song on the guitar for Maggie's character.....I lost it.

You're not alone. lol The reason I didn't like it is, I found the parody of Minnesota distasteful being that I'm from there. I suppose it's somewhat accurate but it rubbed me the wrong way, even though the Cohen Brothers are from my hometown and some moments were spot-on.

Matrix one was great.
Matrix 2 was meh. It could've have been great if Matrix 3 answered it's questions, but Matrix 3 was like a cancerous asshole--it stunk.

As far as the Lord of the Rings trilogy, I thought the movies were better than the book falloff

Sorry LOTR fans, but Tolkien tortured me with endless chapters were you followed once group of folks for page after page after page before going back to the other group--the story just didn't move the way a novell should. The movies were paced brilliantly in comparison.

Matrix one was the best - I just have to pause it. I definitely agree with you there though, it was a really good movie. The other two bored me, plus someone I know predicted how it would end anyway, so I knew what was going to happen in the last one.

The movies were better than the books as far as LOTR goes. lol But both tend to be incredibly long-winded for me. I think it's the action scenes; I've never been big on those. hmmm

By the way, I don't think you're weird - the main reason I believe I "love" so few movies is because I have a short attention span. I can't think of any movie I can watch over and over again. lol So I think I'm the weird one in this case.

Don't get me wrong the story of LOTR was great. Tolkien developed a terrific world fille dwith lush characters--it's just that the book wasn't great to me. It's tedious and difficult to keep my attention.

I was wildly happy with the movies, even though some major difference occur in the movies as opposed to the book.

In contract I think the Narnia Books are better. They're more fun and far better paced. But the movie sucked ass.
