My cats' have. Their bodies supposedly get whiter, too. Or darker... I don't remember. But they do change color. I thought it was that they got more contrast between their faces and their bodies...or something. HE'S COMING AGAIN

Their points darken as they get older and should stay points, not blend with their body colour Poppys, daisys life is crazy

no. There are 3 colors: Blue, black, and brown. or something like that. What happens is that their color, darkens with age due to some enzyme.

I just read some stuff about color of Siamese cats out of curiosity. Now I also understand why my gigantic Siamese has a darker-looking point than the really skinny one. HE'S COMING AGAIN

Lilac point is the fourth, I think. It's actually grey-pink looking and not as much of a contrast as the other three. HE'S COMING AGAIN

I don't really know. I've heard a million explanations for it, including that they're not really so; it's their face shape, that it's their nervous system (?), etc. etc. HE'S COMING AGAIN

I don't really know. I've heard a million explanations for it, including that they're not really so; it's their face shape, that it's their nervous system (?), etc. etc. Apparently the original breed of Siamese cats (from Thailand) had crossed eyes and kink in the tail. The crossed eyes are a result of a recessive albino gene (or something like that). Now these traits are being bred out and are seen as faults. [Edited 3/27/07 21:13pm]

I read that their depth perception is fine, so there must be something that makes up for their eyes... HE'S COMING AGAIN

I had one who was very cross eyed. She didn't see things right. She would try to focus on something and still miss it when she pounced. Never seemed to bother her unless she saw us laughing at her. Then she was all Miss Huffy. "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss
