Animals (not pets) in your house

What animals, if any, do you get inside your house?

How do you feel about them? Do you try to get them out or do you just let them be? Are you scared of them?

We get the odd cockroach or rat and plenty of jing-jok (like a very small grey or beige gecko), but today for the first time a gecko about 15 inches long just waltzed into our bedroom. These are called 'tukgae' after the sound they make:

I think he's kinda cute. smile

I think it's cool too. It's only moved about a foot since it's been in here though. I offered it a drink or something to eat but got no response. shrug

Don't like the look of those crane flies. shake

We never get the rats and cockroaches in our bedroom, thankfully, but downstairs I'll probably see one or the other, or both, on any given day. I've seen two foot long rats, from head to tail. eek lol

Yeah, a big long grey one was the longest I've seen. Of course, it's not that easy to gauge the size, but it was stretched out running across a wooden beam under the ceiling pretty close to me and the body was easily a foot long, with the tail at least as long. The tail was big too, the circumference I mean. Thic, grey tail with lines around it.

The tukgae has gone down behind our fridge now.

Woah! How big is that? I think that'd scare me more than the gecko. Less predictable.

depending on what res your monitor is set at this is pretty life-size! They like to sit behind picture frames and on top of the sun visors in the car, so they drop in your lap when you flip them down giggle

if you see a car swerving erratically here, and the driver pulling over leaping out of the car that is usually what it is.

We used to have a partridge come visit us.. she would hop up onto the kitchen window ledge and come in to eat, it was dead cute.. and when she had chicks, they too all used to follow her and do the same thing..

aww Mrs P mushy

I will see if I can did out a photo..

We had a horses head in our kitchen too.. lol.. not the Godfather style.. but when I was young we were having our tea and it was a warm day so the kitchen window was open.. our next door neighbour came round the back of our house and she stuck her horses head through the kitchen window, asking if we were coming riding after tea.. lol

I had a mouse in my airing cupboard.. prolly come in from the fields, but I sucked it up with my vacuum cleaner by accident sad
if sexy was a colour it would be red batting eyes
