Ex-Moderator | There are mice in my ceiling. I never see them (I don't think they could get into my apartment...) but I hear them scurrying up there once in a while.
I live in a basement apartment, so I get bugs. Mostly a spider or two now and again (though tiny in comparison to Charlotte's spider up there), but last summer I'd get these black beetles once in a while. I hate them. I hate bugs and spiders and things that have lots of legs and they frighten me. I am thinking of moving soon. |

Fauxie said: What animals, if any, do you get inside your house?
How do you feel about them? Do you try to get them out or do you just let them be? Are you scared of them? We get the odd cockroach or rat and plenty of jing-jok (like a very small grey or beige gecko), but today for the first time a gecko about 15 inches long just waltzed into our bedroom. These are called 'tukgae' after the sound they make: I think he's kinda cute. OMG, the GI's that used to be stationed in Karat called them the "Fuck YOu" lizard , cause when they callout, they thought it sounded like "Fuck you! Fuck you!" cute.

We started feeding House Sparrows bread about a year ago. Back then there were only about 3-4 that came around. Now about 30 of them come by all throughout the day. They hear me open the back door and they all come flying over and sit on the wall and stare at me. A couple of them actually flew into the house when I had the door open. The also figured out how to drink from the pool. They sit on my automatic vaccuum hose and take drinks and baths. Talk about being stalked! Got a couple of Doves that come by with their curiosity too.

actually "in" this house? i haven't seen any mouse droppings but in the fall in the other house i had mice...
in the spring last year when it warmed up i am sure i took about 50 ladybugs outside! they just kept coming out of the nooks everywhere. i have the odd little spider on the ceiling... it's kind of a game to see how many inches he's moved from yesterday. outside every damn cat in the neighborhood uses my flowerbed for a litterbox at the farm there is lots of wildlife but not actually in the house. in the spring deer come to the trees by the house to give birth where it's safe from the coyotes. they also come for a nibble in the garden later in the year. coyotes and foxes can be seen and heard from the windows. the get close, but not too close. there are owls, raccoons and bats in the barn now that my parents are retired and the livestock is gone. muskrats and frogs and ducks on the water. and icky field mice in all the storage buildings. they are the kind that can give you hanta virus if you inhale microscopic particles of infected urine.

Because this thing is taking up like a third of my 17" screen. I can't even imagine a spider that big that's not a tarantula just living amongst people and not in the jungle or something. If they are that big I am never going to Australia. I graduated bitches!!! 12-19-09

My damn cat brings field mice and birds in the house all the friggin time....we live out in the country, so we get alot of mice....fortunately (for our family)...the mice and birds don't stay in the house too long, both my Cat and Dog take turns torturing the poor things until they die
I don't really care if they kill the mice, they're a pain...but I get mad when they torture the birds, I try to get them out of the house to save their lives

Spiders but it isn't to bad because they kill all the other unwanted critters lurking around.

Other than an occasional giant roach due to being kinda out in the country at the moment, we don't really get weird creatures in our house. I saw a baby lizard one time. I love little lizards. When I was little I'd catch them and keep them for pets only for a short time and then I'd turn them loose. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)
