Oh wow! Thank you very much!  Of all my ancestors living or not, he is my favorite of the men. Well, I cant honestly weigh the parental genes so easily.
Grandfather McDonald was the most honest and pure of heart and soul. Never has a foul word passed his lips nor a drink of alcohol. He was an idealist with whom the world found favor instead of difference. Well respected and honored. Grandmother McDonald who also never said a foul word nor let drink pass her lips is of everything traditional America says she should be. However, stuck in a judgmental time warp I have always found it difficult to relate and be accepted by her though I love her dearly and know she does the same of me. I am thankful to be born of her son and not her weak daughters that she raised with traditions useless in this ever changing world. Her guilt is in not advancing with the times her innocence was being unable to conceive of the change of things.... Ah it is what it is..... | |
