I went to the science center today I chaparoned my son's field trip and actually learned a thing or two.
Do ya know that when you open your eyes for the first time in the morning, the light actual burns of the old top layer of your corona to let light in? Who has a science fact they would like to share? No More Haters on the Internet.

A ton of wood weighs 2,5 Kg(5.5 lbs) less than a ton of iron

We close our eyes when we sneeze because the force of the sneeze is stronger than a hurricane. If our eyes were open they´d pop out.

The weight is the same but their density is different, otherwise it wouldn't be a ton. Happy is he who finds out the causes for things.Virgil (70-19 BC). Virgil was such a lying bastard!

She said facts!! It is a fact isn´t it?! I´m going to have to research this to see if it has actually happened!

The weight is the same but their density is different, otherwise it wouldn't be a ton. Volume= mass/ density So knowing wood and iron densities you know how much volume of them makes a ton. OK? Now weigh those 2 volumes. Surprise!!! The wooden one is much much bigger than the iron one so it receives a "push up" (?) according to Archimedes' Principle. (Air is a fluid They'd weigh the same on the moon though

On the moon they would both have the mass of 1 ton but the weight of the wood would be less. Phisics is not my strong point, but I think this is right. No. I'm saying that if you know density and mass (1 ton) you know the volume it occupies (axbxh) When axbxh is very big (because its low density) then the push up effect is very big too. I'm sorry I can't explain it better in English

What is strangeis that I had forgooten about it until it popped up in the film Casino Royal last night and now you mention it today - spooky! What is strangeis that I had forgooten about it until it popped up in the film Casino Royal last night and now you mention it today - spooky! That is spooky! It does seem rather perverse...especially after I read this: Q. How do we distinguish the bodies in the exhibition from cadavers? It is far more accurate to refer to the actual human bodies exhibited in Our Body: The Universe Within as specimens. A human specimen is first preserved in accordance with standard mortuary science. The specimen then undergoes a polymer preservation process to be readied for anatomical presentation, research and education. These specimens are intended for anatomical research, education, study and preservation. Q. Will we recognize or know any of the specimens in Our Body: The Universe Within and where do these specimens come from? All of the anatomical specimens contained in Our Body: The Universe Within originate from China and have been provided for the exhibit consistent with the laws of China. The anatomical specimens are not owned by the exhibitors, but are provided by a Chinese foundation to promote educational and medical research of the human body. While we do not have the specific identity of each anatomical specimen, they have been donated through medical schools and other research facilities in China to promote education, science and medical research of the human body. http://www.ourbodytheuniv...m/news.htm I think it's fine when I think about the "specimens" as just that...but, when you think about them being living, breathing people...it just gets a little disturbing.

I was good, don't get me wrong. I think it is one of those thing that has to be seen, then make up your mind. The pregnant woman (with fetus in utero) and the different gestatonal aged fetuses was displayed wrong, or was perhaps just wrong. I didn't spend much time in that section - bothered me, but then maybe that is the "art" Happy is he who finds out the causes for things.Virgil (70-19 BC). Virgil was such a lying bastard!

I went to the BodyWorlds exhibition a while ago, and it was pretty cool. I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.
