Thanks. It was marked near the place but I thought the place I parked in was okay. The construction guy said he gave people a couple of days warning, but I don't drive enough to check my car every day. Oh well. If I thought about this too much, I'd get depressed. but the plot HAS thickened - turns out that Homeland Security has sent instructions to the airlines to accept a list of various types of green cards. in good government fashion, that list is incomplete and does not include (you guessed it) the kind i have. so i'm going to travel with a folder of paperwork from an immigration attorney, showing where my kind of green card is indeed acceptable. another client of theirs was stuck in Mexico for two weeks because of this.

My bloody Job

12 Hr days for 5 days a week for minimal thanks or recognition for everything me and my dept do.(the wages are only good coz of the total hours per week I work - 60 in total - and when you think that there are only 168 in a week)

I get no social time due to having to start at 06.00 and finish at 18.00 Then there is the drive into work, about 45 mins and back. I get to see my 4 yr old daughter for about 15 mins a day Mon - Fri and that is only to put her to bed and read her her bedtime story.

then its time to eat. Clean up after U sit down for half an hour then off to bed to do it all again the next day.

Then on weekends my wife works every sat so we only get one day a week as a family where we can actually sit down and all eat together.

I really shouldn't go on because there are people who have far less than me so i will now stop moaning and count my blessing

I know the feeling. Mine's just gone up 2% I mean £1300.00 a year just to empty my bins once a week. We have no street lighting in our village and in the 2 years i've lived here I've never seen a police car around.
No plans to change jobs as nothin in Norwich pays as good for less hours. Just gotta ride with it for a few years until the wife goes back to work full time.
