My apartment building is being demolished so they can build condos; thus when my lease is up in a few months I'll have to move. Finding a new apartment that's not a complete dump and relatively affordable it is not so easy to do when you have grad school debt, a low paying job, and live in NYC.


I'm also very disillusioned with my job opportunities. I have struggled for 10 years in the museum world to get job doing something close to my goal, but I can't seem to make the transition to a similiar job at a museum that has a good collection. I am at the point where I'm seriously considering saying, "Fuck it" and going corporate. I know I'll hate it, but I'm so tired of working for fucked up museums where I couldn't care less about the collections and don't believe in the vision/mission. If I have to work somewhere that I don't believe in, I may as well get paid twice as much, right?


But I do have pretty good health, so there's that.
