I thought I did before the second season started.
Although I still watch every week, this season isn't as riviting as the first.

I've also heard this is the last season so I guess the show will heat up in the upcoming weeks.

I still love The Wire the most, followed closely by Oz,

That slave bitch needs to be tortured to death for what she did to Pullo's wife!!! mad

She did stand by Titus' side and kicked ass on the last episode, would his wife have been able to do that. In those days only the strong survived, his wife was weak and needed to die. Besides, she was making Titus soft, he now has his edge back.

I really don't think Pullo was soft when he killed Cassius. His wife tagged along, remember?

That's what I heard to. Production costs them too much so it's not profitable, apparently, to keep making it. sad

You need to write that letter on hundred dollar bills or HBO won't pay attention.

What time slot is Rome in, anyway? I never seem to see it.

oh here we go with the money again.

Rome comes on Sunday nights at 9pm. Usually the episode from the week before comes on at 8pm right before the new episode of the week.

If I remember the article I read, HBO was highly surprised by the DVD sales of season one. It didn't seem to reflect the actual viewing of the show when it was on.

Hehe... I should have written this better:

The season DVD sales were t hrough the roof... much more sales there than of people who actually watched the show. smile

Well, I record the episodes on my DVR, so I don't know is TiVo and DVR recordings count towards ratings. How do they track ratings anyway. I don't have a Nielsen box

What's that supposed to mean? You don't REALLY think HBO is in it for the artistic satisfaction, do you?

Rome comes on Sunday nights at 9pm.

I'm not surprised actually. It seems like people aren't subscribing to the pay channels just to watch shows, like they used to, because they can just buy it on DVD later.

They have a system that measures Live + Same Day viewers. The total percentages and overall viewers are extrapolated based on their pool of reporting homes.

How do you get to be one of the "reporting homes?"

It's my understanding that the homes are randomly chosen, as needed. Those chosen end up with "Black Boxes" installed which monitor which channels are watched and how many/which family members are watching it. It keeps track of info minute by minute and can even track people who flip back and forth between multiple shows. The info is 'phoned home' by the black box nightly.

Certain homes, alternatively, are asked to keep a written diary and their info is retrieved via selective phone survey.

yup i've done this a couple of times. they give you like 10 dollars per person for keeping a diary for a week. it's by Nielsen.

well i think they call you and ask you if you would like to participate, you say yes and then they ask you for your home address or they might have it already on file (from where i don't know besides if you had done it before). then next they send you the diaries and the money in the mail. they trust you to mail the dairies faithfully on the day specified in the package.

oh man, did you guys see Rome yesterday night?? It was off the FUCKING HOOK!!! Finally that slave bitch dies at the hands of Pullo. I knew he was going to be pissed at her ass even though he had fallen "so-called" in love with her after a few years. He threw her nasty ass in the swamp. Exactly what she deserved.

And Antony has gone nuts. You mean to tell me that Cleopatra's pussy is that mind controlling? I think he's still in love with Atia too, caught up right now. And Octavian was having a fuck fest wasn't he? All that frustration built up i guess.
