What small or big changes have you made to alter your life path?

Life is Nirvana right now!
I am just so thrilled to be alive right now I can't see straight. Life is filled with new direction ,perfect weather, great books and the laughter of children.
Somewhere over the last while I forgot to be thrilled over just existence. I am fairly certain life choices were the culprit. I turned into a social drinker on the regular a couple of years ago. ( Nothing serious, a couple of glasses of red wine in the evening) Which in California as well as I am certain many places has become a very common acceptable practice. That is all good and fine if it works for you but my body is notorious for taking exception to any drug of which in this case wine would be included. ( I am allergic to a good many antibiotics etc..)
Anyway, I decided to remove it from my diet as for one thing, I have put on a good deal of weight behind the indulgence. My friends have not yet figured out I gave it up. lol I chose not to say anything and have just fained a lack of interest for it. ( Which in fact is the honest truth... I just got bored of it)
SO anyway, a few weeks out now, my skin looks amazing and I am again over joyed just to breathe. I had totally forgotten how that was over the passage of time.
( Of course there is a lot more to it but no need to prattle on)

What little or huge things have you changed in your life that have had a big or maybe even surprising impact?

.....and by the way, I have more month then money at the moment... my friends are in an uproar.. I am looking into a career change as well... In other words? Life is far more complicated then it has been and yet I still see it as nirvana.

yay!

Glad you're feeling so good, Karen. hug You deserve to.

I don't think I've done anything in particular, but I've been feeling wonderful as well lately. I think it's the spring coming. The extra hours of sunshine (even viewed from indoors) have been nice.

You know I am very pleased for you with what you have done and where you are going.

My life is totally different from a year ago which I know I don't have to detail for you. But I am out of my security blanket now and i'm staring blindly into the sunlight and excited by what awaits me hug

Is going to be your year dear!

i think my trip next week is going to be symbolic of a lot of things in my life. for one thing, i see it as a "wrap party" for a difficult year, or a way of congratulating myself for surviving one of the most difficult years of my life.

it's also going to be a "last hurrah", because when i come back home i plan on buckling down, tightening my budget, starting a more disciplined writing/workout routine, and all that kinda stuff. i want to move into a bigger apartment this fall, and i am thinking about going about buying my own space sometime in the next five years cuz i think i'm FINALLY ready for that kind of commitment.

plus, after losing her mother and basically having no other family but me, i know my mom is going to become a bigger responsibility in my life and this trip is kinda my last fling at having a big, adventurous vacation until things stabilize a little more in my enormously tiny family.

so yeah, there's all that.

Yeah but focus on the glory of seeing and experiencing so much in the last 2 years. Most people never have or take that opportunity!

I know the feeling you're talking about, and there's nothing that accurately describes it! cloud9 excited cloud9

It happens when your mind, heart and actions are most closely aligned with the path that has been laid out for you, and you're on the brink of bigger changes than you could even imagine. I'm so excited for you!

Puts the spring in your step is right! I never even realized the spring was missing really. It has been an idealic winter here. As in not having one at all... it has been the longest spring time on record.

oh don't get me wrong I'm not complaining... quite the contrary. Karen yep I know I'm very VERY VERY lucky to have had this opportunity. SO MANY opportunities!

I guess what I was trying to say is that I'm kinda looking forward to winding down that rollercoaster for just a little while, that's all

Oh do I get that! I think everyone thought I was nuts when I cancelled all trips for this year and chose to hole up with books and such instead... I need the break to refocus and recharge! I am sure you will be very busy over the next while settling your life back in at home.

I can't tell you how easy it was... Dont get it twisted, on occasion I will go out and get hammered with fiends in the future but I choose to remove it from any form of regular existence.
