Washington DC|Denver Residents - calling on your help! I'm looking for Hostel accomodation (or very cheap hotels, if I have to) but am having no luck I can only find 3 in Denver and they've all got really dodgy reports unfortunately... some recommended in Washington but they're all full up for when I'm travelling there
any recommendations for those residents or who know the area?

DC isn't the safest city in the world (I live 40 minutes north of it) so choose where you say carefully. Stay out of Northwest D.C. 'A pillow covered in all our tears'

Hi Natisse. I can't really answer your question, but I feel bad that your not getting any responses.
As far as DC though, the grayhound station uis close to the white house, and the smithsonian and all that stuff. Which are all very busy during the day and it's not likely something would happen in that area. I think actionthisday just meant be careful at night. Will you have a gov. discount for your hotel stay? I HIGHLY recomend the Botanical Gardens to visit during the day, and it is within walking distance if you ARE going to be in the area near the white house, and all that. Really, I go to all these attractions every stupid yr, and they are boring as HELL, but the botanical gardens are AWESOME, and VERY relaxing.
