4666 exactly, plus loads of music videos and movies.

i've gotten rid of some songs and added a couple more...as of today i've got 554 tracks.

I just dowloaded 50 songs so now there is a total of 104 songs. There will be the max by tomorrow afternoon.

I was just given one last week. I think I have about 90 or so songs so far.

I barely even know how to use it.

so now I'm stuck on 400 songs on my player because I can't upload the player software onto my work computer....need admin permission which is not gonna happen.....

iPod question:

If your computer needs to get rebooted to it's original state (it's happened to me twice now and I lost everything), what happens to iTunes? Will all songs be lost? Or can you upload them from the actual iPod back onto your computer?

My buddy put my iTunes onto an external harddrive, then downloaded it back to my computer, so at least that was saved when my computer caught a virus the last time...

But, that's a lot of songs (and work) to be lost...I guess my question is, what's the best way to preserve iTunes on your computer?

If you have to reformat your hard drive, you will lose your iTunes library. I keep a backup of my music on an external drive. Also, I think there is third party software that will let you rip music from your iPod to your computer.

I'm currently at

4111 songs (approx. 18 GB)
2.25 GB worth of music videos/bootleg gigs 'n' stuff
