Battlestar Gallatica

this show is excellent! Excellent acting, excellent storyline and direction.

it's a shame no one seems to watch this show. I don't even think it's been nominated for an Emmy.

and before yall start---it is nothing like the original whatsoever.

anyone else watch this show. i mean the storylines are so great, makes you think about real life situations.

I thought the first season was one of the best runs of TV in a long time, but it hasn't quite fulfilled its promise.

Mostly, it's just kind of boring lately.

I love the show, its probably my favorite to watch, The only problem I have is sometimes it gets a bit too soapy for me. But I'm a scifi nut.

I use to agree with you but I've recently jumped ship.

I'd downloaded the first season on a whim from Itunes. I have to admit I'm completely hooked, even though I grew up with the original series. This current series is great too in it's own right. All right, all right, I confess... I just watch it for Grace Park! horny

Love it. Don't think the last 2 or 3 episodes have been up to their standard, though. Seems like forever since there have been any space battles. If the ratings aren't high, maybe they have to save some money, who knows.

He's awesome! thumbs up! Love him!

It's an amazing show. I detested the original series as a kid, so it took a hell of a lot of convincing from a good friend in Penn. for me to go buy the pilot and season 1 last year, and i'm so glad I did because it's frakking amazing. It's brilliant on so many levels too.

The scripts are razor sharp (really love the way they integrate real world history into their events, ie: one could compare what happened to Commander Adama to a certain historical political leader - I'll leave it at that so as not to spoil anything for those not up to speed) and the acting is sublime. I have to admit, it took awhile for me to get used to #5 as this uber sexy cylon, but after going back thru season 1 and 2 recently, wouldn't have it any other way - the show for me is (along with Lost) the best damned thing on TV in a long long while.

Besides, Jamie Bamber is fantastic eye candy too, that's always a bonus drooling

I love it! I haven't been hooked on any television show since I was in high school. I definitely think in all aspects, from script through set design, that it's the most intelligent and thoughtful program I've ever watched. However, I can't say I've enjoyed many of the post-new Caprica episodes...I seem to be detecting a slight soap opera feel to some of them. I'm sure there will be a nice up-tick in quality as they gear up for season-end, though.

What was up with the very special John Sayles episode they just did?!

I like the episode's intentions, but Baltar was acting way out of character and the end reversal of the President was ridiculous. I sometimes think the showrunners are too smart, and let dogmatic concerns get in the way of decent storytelling. In short, bring back Xena already. lol

Wow! I just started watching this...a friend suggested I'd Netflix this. We were at the Star Wars exhibit at the Science Center here in LA and he would not shut up about it. I'd recall reading about how good it was and how it had won a Peabody award or something. Anyway, just finished the pilot and the first two episodes and I'm really enjoying it.

I'm in love with Captain Apollo... biggrin
