iPod question:

If your computer needs to get rebooted to it's original state (it's happened to me twice now and I lost everything), what happens to iTunes? Will all songs be lost? Or can you upload them from the actual iPod back onto your computer?

My buddy put my iTunes onto an external harddrive, then downloaded it back to my computer, so at least that was saved when my computer caught a virus the last time...

But, that's a lot of songs (and work) to be lost...I guess my question is, what's the best way to preserve iTunes on your computer?

966 (on my ZEN MICRO ). i had about 1300 a few weeks ago, but went through and deleted a lot of things i didn't like/listen to anymore.

3996 songs, 12.4 days of music, 21,28 GB.....still have some GB's left.....I don't do the video thing, I don't have a clue how it works.....

so far 4200 with a few hundred cds to load.....i have a question though.....

my computer crashed and so did my itunes.....so now i want to hook my ipod up to another computer.....how do i get the songs off my ipod and back on to a new computer w/I-tunes?
