I just go upstairs and change into my pyjamas. They usually take the hint.

Charlotte is apparently bored with the lack of new threads in here, so she asked me to start a few. So here we go, here's the first one:

Do you like hosting parties or do you prefer to go to other people's parties?
Are you a good host who walks around and talks to everybody?
Do you try to get strangers to talk to each other or do you let groups form naturally?
Do you usually get sick of the guests before they get sick of the party or is it the other way around? How do you deal with it?

Discuss.

1.) I don't like large parties, but I love having several people over at once. It allows me to talk to everyone because there's not many people here, plus my house is rather small so it can't fit many people at one time comfortably.
2.) Yes. That's easy when you only ever invite 2-3-4 people. biggrin
3.) Usually we all already know one another.
4.) That's only happened one time, that I've gotten sick, and that was when I had some girls over from work with their husbands. This one girl's husband was horrible. He smelled a bit funny, was rude to his wife, and lacked any personality whatsoever really. At the end of the night, everyone else had gone home except this girl and the awful hubby. She kept hinting at him it was time to go, but he kept saying he was busy watching the game... on OUR TV! So I kept trying to make Hope feel comfortable and all the while try to get the hubby out the damn door without saying. "Time to go, stinky ass." I was dropping hints like, "well, Alex and I worked all day so we're going to probably hit the hay soon..."

Finally he left.
This one's for you.
