Photowhore Your PETS Again, or...

Before emm completely outs me here, I've grown quite fond of one of the cats I have to take care of. His name is Bailey, or Bailey Bugz, or Bugzy, (he pretty much goes by any of those names cause cats are kind of stupid).

He absolutely follows me around like a dog now, and at night he has this favorite little toy (a small stuff reingdeer) that he pretends to hunt and kill. He always drops it off on my bed once he's finished "the big kill" as a gift.

I found out this week that I will be watching Bailey for the next 3 years instead of the before mentioned 6 months. I'll be shipping the other cat off in 6 months, cause she hates me and wants to be with her mommy (my sister), so no big deal I guess. The cats also hate each other.

So she'll let you keep him for three whole years and then she'll take him back? That seems kind of cruel both to you and the cat. neutral

Actually, I don't get attached to things all that much. I'll miss him when I give him back, but Bailey will adjust. Bailey is spoiled spoiled spoiled.

The reason why I'm shipping Adrian off to her is that I suspect Adrian will die in the next 3 years (she's already old).

We figured it would be less traumatizing to have Bailey go there, then get shipped back here 3 years later. Also, the cats just don't like each other. Adrian is absolutely miserable because of Bailey, and we figured her last days should be in a house with another animal that she hates--he tends to pick on her ALOT when especially when she's not feeling well.

Are they good pets? Affectionate? Do they actually come to you looking for love?

Or are they just highly evolve rats?

This is my kitty after discovering I have just changed the bed sheets.

Should anyone be interested I am giving her away with a basket, pink fluffy cushion, food and toys. She is being a real pain tonight.

Yes, yes, and yes. Very. nod

Every time I would lie down on the couch, Dorothy came running and jumped up on my stomach in one big leap. Then she lay flat and closed her eyes as I pet her. She especially loved it when I would talk on the phone at the same time. Maybe she found it reassuring to hear my voice.

She also loved to sleep alongside my foot when I was at my desk working. That way she noticed if I decided to get up. smile

Or are they just highly evolve rats?

Some are better than others, but all have a natural instinct to keep their "bathroom" relatively separate from the rest of their living space. They'll never be as tidy as dogs though, nor is that really necessary since they almost always pee in their box and only produce tiny dry balls of poo that are easy to vacuum. (sorry about the TMI razz).

He shed alot, but his fur is extremely soft, and it glows white in the right light.

He's actually very beautiful in real life.
Turkish Angoras have a certain "dog look" or "lion look" to them. Beautiful animals.

Just watch out when you go to bed, so you don't end up with a flat cat. He's camouflage-coloured after all!

That is so adorable. If I'd ever get a bigger pet than a bunny, I'd get a dog like that. Just look at those eyes! You can tell it's a very good-natured animal.
