pa´ que sepas que te quiero
como un buen torero...
me juego la vida por ti...

or something like that smile

all her songs and albums sound the same Ian. do you even need to specify which one. j/k wink

Those that think that are wrong. Maybe she's a formula writer but I think her sound has changed and stayed fresh.

I don't think her writing follows a formula. Perhaps her beats and instrumentation follow a pattern, but her lyrics are usually distinct. What else sounds like "Better Days?"

I'm agreeing with you Ian. I read some thread where a few people said all her albums are the same. I don't agree. She has her trademark gimmicks that she has to have on every project- having an orgasm, rainstorms, giggling, the trademark angry song, interludes, etc. But I think she's grown up a lot in the past decade and I appreciate what she's trying to say more than ever. She's really started to open up with these last two. She has stayed with her trusted pop/r+b/funk mix but it's working for her. And I think that the pro tools on her new one make her sound very current. I think that she just changed so drastically from RN to janet. that anything she could ever do now will seem tame in comparison. Same thing happened to U2 w/ Achtung Baby. That's why they had to get back to basics. Maybe saying janet doesn't change has become the popular thing to say like jumping on the bandwagon of "madonna can't sing".

All I wanna know is when is she gonna wise up and stop getting surprised everytime people catch her on tape?

"Dammit Jimmy! not again."

You said it perfectly. Eurythmics first 4 albums all have a similar aesthetic, but they are definitely distinct and all fantastic! Same goes for "janet," "The Velvet Rope" and "All for You."
