No, I'm putting it off and I don't know why, I prolly am getting a refund.
They're saying if you E-file and have them direct deposit the refund in your bank account you can have your money in a week or so.

In previous years I've gotten it back as quickly as a few days. nod

got mine done last wednesday and got my federal tax refund back...i'm expecting my state refund check any day now. my landlady gave me my renter's refund slip earlier tonight (along with a note about how the rent's gonna increase starting april 1st mad) so i gotta go and have that done. the sucky thing about the renter's refund is that i ain't gonna get the refund back for that until august.

woot! to those of you who have filed your taxes already.

I STILL have not received my W-2 or my bank statement yet. Don't know what the hold-up is, but I'm getting very impatient over here. pout Now if I knew that I was going to have to pay Uncle Sam money instead of getting money back, that would be a whole different story. lol
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Legally, they have to issue them by January 31.

Will probably complete and electronically file my federal return this weekend. We don’t have a state income tax in Washington -- I’m glad I don't have to do a state return anymore.

My return isn't terribly complicated, but it does involve a little extra work on my part. To make a long story short, one of the tax forms I receive every year is, by the issuer’s own admission, not necessarily accurate, and under the federal tax code, it doesn't have to be. confuse And the issuer basically says, "That’s your problem -- go look at IRS Publication No. XXX and figure it out yourself." So I have to look at my records and do exactly that. sigh
Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position.

That's where you're dead wrong. The only thing I spend my money on with Prince is the occasional concert ticket or when his new CD comes out. I don't spend money on him like I used to.
