REDFEATHERS

Do you take on "characteristics" of a given class to feel accepted by members of that class?

Or is it possible to transcend it altogether?

I am talking about a class divide and how people feel about it. Do people take on "characteristics" of a given class to feel accepted by members of that class? Or is it possible to transcend it altogether? - Thanks LleeLlee for your help hug

I cant try at all.. even though I had some ghetto friends in the past, I just couldnt change my ways to mimick them or try and fit in around their friends.... alot of them thought I was undercover.. and I was gonna arrest them for some shit or another.. made them terribly paranoid.. lol

and others did admnit they got off on me being somewhat *different*
they said I had a nerve coming into their area and acting all hmm.. I dunno the best way to say.. acting like I own the place.. boxed but they were cool with me anyway cool

And can a person act real posh in company with others from a different background, or do they feel just as uncomfortable?

Bollocks PC edit..

It's ok to use slang words. But using Slang words and being Ghetto are 2 different things. Being Ghetto is a state of mind! Being Ghetto is Pitiful!

Ghetto = Ignorance ( In my opinion )

WEll yeah I understand.. but I am just casing the extreme for maximum impact on this thread.. feel free to correct me. but how else would you word it?

Upper, Middle and lower classes

I would say nr where I live there are places in town where certain types of ppl shop, and others wouldnt dare shop there.. and vice versa..

Others drink in different places, eat in different places.. etc etc..

You must have noticed this before..?

Being Ghetto ( also means Hoplessness )

Ghetto people never strive to better themselves.

You can be from the ghetto and be uneducated because of your environment. But you always can leave the ghetto. You don't have to take the ghetto mentality with you. Just because someone is from the ghetto doesn't make them a bad person.

I understand what Redfeathers is saying. It's about being comfortable out your normal environment. I was just making a statement about being Ghetto.
