Have any of you ever changed careers because you were absolutely sick of what you were currently doing? Was it difficult to do, and were you glad that you did it?

I'm currently thinking of changing careers, basically because I'm sick of administrative assistant work. After doing it for over 20 years, it has become very boring and uninteresting. I need a change, and the only person who can do it is me.

I would LOVE to work with animals (as anybody on here who knows me will attest). I need to get a book about careers with animals, learn about it.

I am doing it right now, in fact i had a meeting today that puts me well on the way, i currently own an IT company and i am jacking it all in and taking 3 months off to finish my training as a dive instructor while i am young enough to enjoy it. I am so excited and yet a little scared at the same time. Still you only live once huh?

A) Flipping burgers
b) Going home to life with your parents

Those are just two examples of scare tactics, but they don't work on me.

Go for the gold, change carrers. You only live one...
