1 year ago Jan 4th How does one react to a life in prison sentence for an 18 year old?
Last year my nephew was murdered execution style by a 17 year old kid, while 2 others held him down. Today the murderer was convicted and sentenced to life in prison.. No parole. How very sad for his family, for him, for my family... Nothing gained, but everything lost!  ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^

Nothing gained, but everything lost! i think it's rare for a loved one of a victim to feel sadness for the murderer and/or his family. i also think it's commendable and speaks to the strength of your compassion. the kid is being put away for life, which is what is deserved. it won't bring your nephew back, but it will keep other people from being hurt by this person. i guess that should count for something, no? | |

I'm really sorry to hear that, but I'm really surprised that you have any compassion at all for the murderer. He's clearly a monster who deserves nothing less than what he got. Compassion is great, but I think some people really shouldn't be shown any. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.
