I've noticed that it's setting roughly 30 minutes later than it did last month. Yeah, so that's not monumental or anything, but it does indicate to me that spring is around the corner. Sure, we have a couple of chilly months ahead.

But last night I got a sense of excitment knowing it might be over mushy

I hate winter.

Psychologically speaking, I find it much easier to be stuck in late winter/early spring with shitty weather knowing it's getting better day by day than to be in late summer/early fall with mild weather knowing it will get darker and colder day by day. So I know what you're saying, Dan. nod

Imago, how can you talk about "chilly" or "Winter" when it's 25°C right now (in Tampa)? lol

You should come to Iceland (or better yet, MPLS, because it's colder there lol) .. Right now (in Reykjavík) it's 3°C and according to the latest forecast the highest temperature for the next 10 days is 4°C.... 25°C winter, please talk to the hand

I hate winter.

You're right, Papi, days will be getting longer. This begins to happen after winter solstice, the longest night of the year. Winter Solstice for this season fell on December 22nd. Slowly but surely everything will make its way out of dormancy and we will find out way to 'spring'. The weather's been so kooky all over the world though I wonder if its going to throw anything off (other than length of days). For example, all those freakishly warm days on the northeast coast and parts of Europe, a lot of larvae probably survived from yuchy bugs if they're not being killed off with the cold now. We're going to be chock full of insects this year, like a freaking plague of locusts...

...good grief, where all that just came from I do not know... Corpus Christi I should working confused

lol
