I just realized that could be it--I'm on muscle relaxers for a while before a surgery next month, and I'd be quite relieved if that triggered this madness. I had absolutely no remorse in my dream, whatsoever. I'm afraid of myself. Hope things are good where you are, Nat. I was going to ask if you were on any meds. That would do it.

...when I get hime I'll look it up in my "Book of Dreams". Just remember though, that what you dream has an alternate significance. For example, dreaming of someone in a white wedding dress is bad. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

After that, it will be cold turkey I guess. Good story of your's though. Did you take it for a real medical reason, or one of those "other" reasons? Nevermind. You already told me your reason. Surgery. See? I need to get off these. [Edited 1/8/07 10:36am] "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

Don't you think that your horrified reaction to the dream speaks to the reality that you're actually ok?
I think you should be worried if you, like, found the dream to be inspirational or something. The fact that it freaks you out so much seems to me to indicate that you're very concerned about being a person with integrity and a good heart. When are you coming to visit me? oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

But that's beside the point. It's not short of amazing what our brains are capable of coming up with when we're not controlling them, though. When are you coming to visit me?
I've got to make Seattle happen. I want to meet your girlfriend and of course Jessica and Matt while I'm up there. Ugh. With this surgery thing, I'll be out of sorts financially in a big way. And I was intending to cut my hours by half so I could get more of my classes out of the way as opposed to getting my Master's while I'm middle-aged... Ugh, again. Not to mention the Vegas trip in March, and my Lithuania trip in November. UGH, AGAIN! Oh shit, my hat done fell off

Well...when dealing with stuff like tarot cards and the like, when "death" comes up, it seldom means actually dying. It means change. Or maybe a completely new beginning. Maybe something like that is in store for the 2 of you?

It's one thing to dream that your loved ones have evil personalities, but, incredibly, it was like I was someone else. I dreamt all sorts of other awful things with it, but I won't post them here. The sickest part is, I hung her in my bathroom, went to work, came home, and took a shower as she continued to hang right next to me. What the fuck is wrong with me? Seriously? Wy can't I shake this fear of myself? At one point, I just stood next to her and watched her hanging with her bloodshot eyes staring back at me, until I finally woke up, sweating. Please help. Wow, that would scare the crap out of me too. Dang! I've posted this before, but I once dreamt that I had the newspaper on the floor and was reading it. All of a sudden, there were drops of blood falling onto the paper. I looked into the mirror, and my face was melting; the flesh was like running down. Thank God I was able to wake myself up and escape from it, but it scared the living daylights out of me. I hate nightmares. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Codeine, for example, often causes people to dream of blood and/or violence. Don't worry about a thing, honey. It in no way means you're a bad person or capable of that type of coldness in real life. For example, dreaming of someone in a white wedding dress is bad. Thanks. Sorry for the delay. Here you go; "...As well as emphasizing your anger with someone, dreams in which you killed another person may point toward an internal conflict, especially if you harbor no ill will toward your dream victim in the real world, or indeed, if he or she was a stranger, or if you slaughtered an animal. If you strangled an unknown man in your dream, did he provoke you into doing so? If so, how? The answer may tell you what it is about yourself that you are longing to "kill off". If, for example, you were laboring hard hard to build a house together in a race against the clock, but he suddenly dropped his tools, cracked open a beer, and sat laughing at you as you pleaded with him to start work again, so that you finally snapped and grabbed him by the throat, could he have represented your own laissez-faire attitude - your tendency to sabotage your career by idling away your working hours? Animals symbolize aspects of our instinctual nature, so if you casually killed a dog in your dream, ask yourself what the dog could represent within you. If your dreaming self snuffed out its life because you found its devotion stifling, for instance, do you long to extinguish your helpless, doglike attachement to your best friend, or else her oppressive and needy dedication to you?..." Maybe that can give you a clue to what your dream was telling you. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

I get violent nightmares too and have talked to people about them. I've heard that dreams of death can actually be a positive thing. It's all symbolic remember, not literal. Also I've heard that every character in your dream represents an aspect of yourself. Have there been any changes or shifts in your life recently, an ending of sorts? I think, the fact that you had no remorse means that it was a good thing, that your subconscious had put to death or was in the process of doing so something unnecessary in your psyche.
