Has a movie ever made you throw up or pass out?

Aside from Patch Adams, has any movie ever been way too much for you to process, to the point where you've lost it and fainted or tossed your cookies?

The only time I came close was during the movie "Crash" (not the race relations one, but the Cronenberg one), at the beginning when everyone was getting into car crashes and Holly Hunter was hanging out of a windshield and shaking her bloody boob at James Spader. The accident scenes felt SO real that I had to tell the people I was with that I was feeling faint...fortunately, the movie mellowed out (as much as it could) and I was able to sit through the rest of it, which I actually quite enjoyed.

Another time, I took a friend to see "Dancer in the Dark" and the cinematography made her so dizzy that she had to excuse herself and go ralph in the ladies room. sad

So have any movies literally made you ill?

really? i thought that movie was funny. like, on purpose funny. it's the most enjoyable of all the alien movies for me, which i know is blasphemy to a lot of the sci fi heads on here. it felt more like an art film than a blockbuster action movie, almost like a parody of itself but not quite. was there gore in it? i just remember sigorney weaver looked like trent reznor.

I watched it on VHS for the first time after convincing my friends to rent it. I almost got my ass kicked. It was so embarrassing.

Movies that make me sick

Shindler's List: Love the movie, but can't handle the scene where the two boys are hiding in the cesspool.

Gone With The Wind: The man who is screaming when he's getting his legs sawed off .

Hannibal: The scene where he's cut the top of what's-his-name's head off.

ANY torture scene in ANY movie. I simply can't handle the site of torture.

oh, man. i was at the gym the other day and they had the TV on to one of those crime/medical drama shows and in one scene, they were sawing some dude's skull off and yanking out his brain. on a TV SHOW. that was a bit much. i mean, if i were in my artsy-fartsy transgressive mindspace, okay, i could deal with it. but i was listening to fuckin' DEEE-LITE on my headphones and sweatin' to the oldies. i didn't need to see all that.

I can't take gore of any kind. I can't even watch ER, that's how bad it is. I used to watch the beginning of 6 Feet Under from behind my hand, just barely peaking out cause I didn't want to see anything.

I went to see Naked Lunch at a little "pizza and a movie" type place. They have a pizza parlor, and couches, very nice. Half way through the movie, I had to leave because I was feeling quite ill.

I don't know if it was the movie, or the fact that I had eaten the goat cheese house special pizza, of the fact that I drank a few beers, or some type of combo there. All I know is I got sick. I didn't puke. Not sure if I passed out. Just went home quickly and layed down.

The first time I saw Pink Flamingos I laughed so hard I threw up on my sister's coffee table and carpet. Not what you're going for, though...

The only time I can truly recall being revolted by a movie was when I saw the ....erm... scatological scene in Salo. It was obviously fake, of course, but just the notion of it was enough to make it unwatchable for me.

I haven't seen ANY of these movies. lol Someone gets their legs sawed off in "Gone With the Wind"?! whofarted I seriously don't even know the story behind this movie. lol

The chainsaw scene in Scarface is pretty disturbing though. Nothing has ever made me physically ill though. Disturbed and sad, yes. Like The Deer Hunter.

Even Faces of Death didn't make me ill. It made me disgusted that people would do such things and/or film them, but I never get pukey from anything.

Not physically ill, but mentally ill, yes. The movie Kids did a little doosy on me and forever changed my approach to film watching. (I'm much more cautious now)

The other film which I am still struggling with and which I can't seem to get anywhere with and which still hurts and scares me is The Bridge which shows over a dozen people jumping to their deaths off the Golden Gate Bridge. It's an amazing film but it's really, really hard to handle.
