Just dont get into the trap of working 6 days a week at a job that pays shit just because thats all that was available at the moment. You know the ones that keep you there from 9-5 then ask you to work doubles all the time when someone else calls off.

You can never go out and apply for another job or go to an interview, because your current job wont give you the time off to do it.

Its a trap. Even in the middle of a recession, be critical of who you decide to work for.

I've been out of work for 8 months (graphic artist). Should officially have a job tomorrow, and I'm sure this one will pretty much suck like most of the others.

If this is the product of a drug free mind, I say pass the bong...quick.

It's not that tough to figure out, C. When you drive a business with the pedal to the metal, hellbent on 200% gains every year and practically spending them advance - downright COUNTING on them - and you "only" take in 150%, suddenly you come to view your business as "losing money". you'll find yourself faced with a decision: sell the Lexus and the Yacht or send little Timmy to Brown instead of Harvard; totally unacceptable solutions to people that have determined that it is their God given right to drink $200 bottles of wine, get 10 miles to the gallon and purchase a new Versace wardrobe every spring, lest they be rediculed at the Country Club come golfing season.

Now that difference HAS to be made up somewhere. I see and hear people with vanity liscence plates on 5 different cars, health spa memberships for their purebred dogs, more widescreen TV's and bathrooms in their mansions than there are people to watch them or live in them, and larger garages than my whole apartment bitching about how overtaxed they are and how they can't make their businesses profitable with all these Godamned environmental laws. You don't really think they're going to blink when faced with a decision to lay off or fire 100 people who make less money in a year than tthses fools make in a week do you? Or have an ounce of understanding for what that's like? Especially when they can get all those "damned immigrants" - you know, the ones "draining" the economy by sucking up welfare - to do the same jobs for half the money.

This is progess, folks, and it's about to get worse...or better, I guess, depending on which side of the tracks you live on.
