https://www.studentselect.com It's a pretty good plan, with reasonable coverage and premiums, and you're not restricted to a "network" of health care providers. I had it when I was in Indiana, a state where individual health insurance is generally unaffordable or unavailable. The one downside is no coverage for medication (unless you're hospitalized), but I found that docs were happy to write me a script for a generic -- or even better, give me something from their free samples. Yes. When I had my skin cancer scare, they paid for the examination (by a professor of dermatology at the Indiana U. med school) and subsequent surgery. And IIRC I came down with acute bronchitis twice when I was covered by that plan... both times they picked up the tab for my visit to a "doc in the box" walk-in clinic. There may have also been one or two other things I don't remember.

my first day off in 5 mnths cause i was sick was on thursd,got up as i usually do 2 get ready 4 work, but then i told the person i was with i was going 2 go 2 work 2 tell boss that i was sick and so that he could c i was sick but i was also dizzy and couldn't drive in case of an accident so i rang him up on his cell. he seemed ok bout it. | |
