Yuck! Tap Water

I just filled my cup with tap water and when I went to drink some water, it smelled like chlorine or whatever. It made my stomach churn almost wanting to puke.

I think it's time I switch to bottled water.

Anyone had that experience?

I have a Britta water pitcher (thanks to Stu and Drew biggrin ) that filters out all of that stuff...and it works out being less expensive than bottled water.

I prefer bottled water and usually get down on that as often as possible, but sometimes when I run and I'm thirsty as all get out I will take a sip from the hose and it tastes bomb as hell when I'm thirsting!

i have a filtered water pitcher too - i swear by it. i've saved TONS of money on bottled water by just filling up a sports bottle with the filtered stuff from the fridge. nod

Every so often, the dept that manages the water (DWP or something) sends info about the water in the area. It goes through so much processing and they add so many chemicals to it I'm reluctant to shower in it, let alone drink it.

Why do they need to add fluoride? They don't trust me to brush my teeth?

I'm not sure they can really call it water anymore. Mostly water, but not water.

True, I'm very spoiled, but so is the water in america. In some countries it's actually safe to drink water straight from the ground. Not here.

It's almost like that Star Trek where they thought they'd found Eden, but the plants were acidic. It's sad that it's not safe for us to drink from rivers.

I truly dislike tap water - I always drink water from my fridge because it's got a good filter on it. If I get it from a sink it sometimes smells like swamp or chlorine, depending on the day. So I don't drink it from there. Yeah, I'm spoiled, but at least I drink water. lol
