Oh wait, yes. The moment in The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover when they open the back of the meat truck and all the meat is rotted. I swear I could actually smell it off the screen. barf

I'd forgotten that as well. You're spot on with that one.

There's a scene in Andy Warhol's Bad that's really too tasteless to relate here...if anyone's seen it, I'm sure they'll know what I'm referring to...

I actually didn't find FoD all that grisly. Almost everything in it seemed obviously staged as far as I can recall. It was still kinda gross in a b-movie sort of way, but nothing that would shock the average horror fan.

Maybe if I actually knew what rotted meat smelled like, that scene would have affected me more.

Aside from Patch Adams, has any movie ever been way too much for you to process, to the point where you've lost it and fainted or tossed your cookies?

The only time I came close was during the movie "Crash" (not the race relations one, but the Cronenberg one), at the beginning when everyone was getting into car crashes and Holly Hunter was hanging out of a windshield and shaking her bloody boob at James Spader. The accident scenes felt SO real that I had to tell the people I was with that I was feeling faint...fortunately, the movie mellowed out (as much as it could) and I was able to sit through the rest of it, which I actually quite enjoyed.

Another time, I took a friend to see "Dancer in the Dark" and the cinematography made her so dizzy that she had to excuse herself and go ralph in the ladies room. sad

So have any movies literally made you ill?

well, not ill. but seeing captain jack sparrow eaten by the Krakon gave me bad dreams sad

really? i thought that movie was funny. like, on purpose funny. it's the most enjoyable of all the alien movies for me, which i know is blasphemy to a lot of the sci fi heads on here. it felt more like an art film than a blockbuster action movie, almost like a parody of itself but not quite. was there gore in it? i just remember sigorney weaver looked like trent reznor.

pissed

tell me you love trent reznor!

Cocktail or whatever it was with TC in it. I ended up leaving the room. He disgusted me that much on film. Why? Dunno.

ACK!

Hated him then, can't stand him even more now. The only movie of his I actually watched, on purpose, was Vanilla Sky, and besides his facial scenes, I was pretty okay. With that exception, I tend to avoid his films.

He's another one I can't stand to watch, though it's not as bad, with me, as TC.

Keanu sounds as if he's reading lines in everything he's in... no emotion either. Simply, he can't act, in my opinon. Why they pay him to is beyond me!

Just LOOKING at her makes me mad. I'm serious. She is like the total opposite of everything I hope to stand for in this existence. If I ruled the world, she'd live in a dungeon and scientists would experiment on her constantly in an attempt to discover why she is so vile. I like to think that I'm a person who avoids hatred or holding negative feelings toward anyone, even if I know they hate me - but then I remember Meg Ryan and I remember I'm not so damn spiritually evolved after all because, oh my goodness it feels sooo good to say I HATE HER!!! lol

Other than that, she was kind of okay in that Doors movie. shrug
