I actually didn't find FoD all that grisly. Almost everything in it seemed obviously staged as far as I can recall. It was still kinda gross in a b-movie sort of way, but nothing that would shock the average horror fan. | |

The only time I came close was during the movie "Crash" (not the race relations one, but the Cronenberg one), at the beginning when everyone was getting into car crashes and Holly Hunter was hanging out of a windshield and shaking her bloody boob at James Spader. The accident scenes felt SO real that I had to tell the people I was with that I was feeling faint...fortunately, the movie mellowed out (as much as it could) and I was able to sit through the rest of it, which I actually quite enjoyed. Another time, I took a friend to see "Dancer in the Dark" and the cinematography made her so dizzy that she had to excuse herself and go ralph in the ladies room. 
So have any movies literally made you ill? well, not ill. but seeing captain jack sparrow eaten by the Krakon gave me bad dreams | |

ACK! Hated him then, can't stand him even more now. The only movie of his I actually watched, on purpose, was Vanilla Sky, and besides his facial scenes, I was pretty okay. With that exception, I tend to avoid his films.  | |
