Do you often get the feeling that you can easily understand certain things that few other people can?
Yes. Usually the horrible results of rushing ahead. I'm more focused on the architecture of something than the requirements; I hate painting myself in a corner. Alternately, do you often get worried because you can't grasp certain ideas that seem like second nature to most everyone else you know? Yes. Everyone has their knowledge paradigm, and I can only account for mine. Though I try to take a holistic approach to interpretation / exposition, plenty of people out there have a unique relation to the idea, a truer proximity, that relegates my take to second or tenth best. What is it that you feel is so hard for others to grasp and what is it that is so hard for you to grasp? "The butterfly affect" in short. Hard for me to grasp: simple, direct solutions. And application of what is in my head! You should see me with power tools; you would think I have no concept of geometry. What would be the ratio between your rare knowledge and your rare ignorance? Can't answer that, and I don't think it is rare. "I got the devil in me, girl." - 'John the Baptist', Afghan Whigs

I can't believe she wants me to get a makeover. I know NOTHING about makeup, and truly don't care to learn. Maybe I'll just stop wearing it altogether--but seriously, here's the shitty part. She's my SUPERVISOR. If I don't start wearing her "preferred" beauty products, does that mean I won't get any promotions? Oh shit, my hat done fell off

Do you often get the feeling that you can easily understand certain things that few other people can?
Some things... In a few areas I'm pretty good @ seeing the whole picture of a situation & planning for these inevitable things that no one sees coming & never thought would occur. I also find myself to be "good" at some things that I have zero training for - not that it just comes to me but I seem to be able to pick things up pretty easily. I've actually been compared to an idiot savant by someone in my field before I didn't know HOW I was doing what I was doing, but I was good @ it & I just had a sense about it. Alternately, do you often get worried because you can't grasp certain ideas that seem like second nature to most everyone else you know? Definitely, I worry too much about what I don't know b/c what I don't know seems so fucking vast I feel like everyone else is juggling all this stuff - family/career/friends & on top of all that they have this interest in/knowledge of the world that I just can't seem to grab hold of Some of it is just to keep me sane - if I thought about all the ills of the world & everything I fear & everything I love all the time, I'd be NUTS There's just so much to lose & so many ways to lose it, but that's another topic... Some of it is the stuff people get in middle school that I just never got b/c I went to some whacked out school for kids who liked to draw & shit history, geography, politics - all very shaky for me... Also religion, probably b/c my parents were older & disconnected from anything religious when they had me, and I had an "incident" that put me off it in my teen years. I tend to shy away from it altogether... I've tried to get that stuff over the years but most of it doesn't stick, I guess it's best for me to keep it simple right now & I'm trying to be okay with that but I'm really not. What is it that you feel is so hard for others to grasp and what is it that is so hard for you to grasp? Gosh, this is hard. I guess the social stuff is hardest for me - knowing what to expect from people/situations. Most people don't trip on that stuff, I find it stressful at times... As far as what others can't grasp, I guess it's more what they choose to ignore - emotional honesty. I don't know any other way to be with people yet I'm accused of being cold or crude at times. Everybody else seems to think its "better" to do a dance around the truth when I really think they're just too fucking afraid to have a heart to heart/confrontation/whatever it ends up being w/ a person. Fuck, I don't even know if I'm still on the topic anymore What would be the ratio between your rare knowledge and your rare ignorance? oy, I dunno...

Perception…how something is perceived…that’s a murky and dangerous area of dealing because what we perceive something to be based on our perception many times is wrong and totally off base to what actually is which is why dealing in facts as opposed to perception is always best having been on both sides of right and wrong perception.
