My Great Aunt is getting married again... She's 74 years old, and I'm all for it. But my grandfather, dad, and several people in my family are not happy about this. It makes no sense to me why they'd care at all. I don't think it's a bad thing that older people are still trying to find love and joy and all the things that younger people look for. I mean, who said we're suppose to roll over and die after our prime?  And be among her cloudy trophies hung. | |

It's ridiculous that people expect older folks to NOT try and fulfill that part in their life. If an elderly woman wants to marry again, she should. If she's really good in bed, she should call me.

How old is the man she is marrying? Maybe your dad and the others are worried he might be a golddigger who is just after her inheritance? That may or may not be a valid concern, I have no idea. If it's not, then I think it's silly to oppose the marriage. It's like with gay marriage; why would you be against two people who love each other getting married? I just don't get it. | |
