I kind of enjoy the show (Hugh Laurie is a good actor, too), but it makes me laugh every time. How do they think they can get away with writing a character that is less believable than Kramer and have him in a drama?

I know he's supposed to be funny, but not funny because he's so unrealistic, right?

Every show is the same formula. House wants to treat a patient for symptoms that don't exist. He calls some poor child a loser, makes sexually inappropriate remarks, he disrespects his administrative superiors, his staff says "now you're crossing the line" the patient is one breath away from death, and eventually a cure is found--House's cure.

Sometimes House is shown to suffer or to anonymously do some kind gesture in order to make his character more "complex" or "sympathetic."

Like I say, I kind of enjoy this tripe, but give me a fucking break!
