I don't believe in buying used. hmph!

But don't little volkswagens last forever? Maybe a Jetta?

Actually my first car was a Chevy Sprint and that little thing lasted forever, was "peppy", always started in Winnipeg's -40 weather (without being plugged in), and when I got stuck in snow I was able to push myself out alone. lol

maybe! do like volkswagons a lot.

AS for the new car thing, part of it is, I just don't like the idea of a car payment. I've never had one my entire life and I'm out of debt now and I just don't like the idea of having to pay for something for years that will depreciate 1/3 of the value after I drive it off the lot.

VW's are gas guzzlers. Do u like Hondas?

See, I love those. lol But it won't be here for another year. I need a car NOW!

Incidentally, its 15+ degrees warmer today and my car started right up this morning. I still need a new car immediately cause it will get that cold again soon. But it's supposed to be this warm (heh) through the weekend at least.

Shit, that's uncool right before the holidays.

I never understand why notherners live up there though. I mean, an occasional hurricane, tornado, and alligator, python, black panther, shark, and barracuda attacks are nothing compared to a blizzard. But, I digress.

I hope all turns out for the better....

You should move to Sweden. The greenhouse effect (or some other mysterious phenomenon) has been hitting us pretty hard these last few years and currently it's +12C, which is very unusual for the season. I don't really mind since I hate to feel cold, but at the same time I miss those Christmases with crisp air and lots of snow that we had when I was a kid.

It doesn't seem like we will. It really sucks. Not just because of the Christmassy feeling that we might miss out on, but the snow also helps to reflects what little light we get this time of year. As it is now, it's pitch black almost 24 hours a day. neutral

It's actually the one reason I'm really kinda scared to go to Thailand next year. It is a serious phobia of mine. Not so serious I won't go. But I really am very, very scared of insects and crawly things and if I see a gigantic cockroach or spider or whatever, I just don't know what I'll do. I've never fainted, but I imagine it could be possible. redface

Officially we're getting 6 hours right now, but that's counting every minute that even a little tiny bit of it is over the horizon. In actual reality, it's more like 4 and a half. confused

nod I am the same, I wouldnt let it stop me going, but damn, I really dont wanna! I can't explain it, I just hate them boxed

And I have this rule too, that goes for everything, "if theres one theres more" - whenever I get a spider or somethingin my house Im all like sad "this doesnt come under if theres one theres more does it?"

In my last flat I came across 2 massive spiders (massive to me anyway, no tropical nonsense here), and *thankfully*, my ex boyfriend was over each time! I screamed and got a bit hysterical lol one of the times he looked at me funny and got up from the couch, and said, "um, its ok but I think I just saw a spider...." It crawled under my covers and into my bed!!! omfg got it in the end though eek

Wow I did not mean to type this much. Good luck in Thailand though! giggle comfort
