Dream Singing. Does this happen to anyone else?

Dream Singing.

I hear music in my dreams. That might sound common but how I hear it.....well I don't know if that is. This happens almost exclusively during that state where you are just about to fall into a deep sleep but you are slightly aware that you aren't fully asleep yet. During that state, I have had the feeling of paralysis or that someone is there in the room with me. I know a lot of you have had that feeling in that state. Sometimes I've even felt like I was dying or couldn't breathe the paralysis was so bad. But that isn't what I'm talking about. I'm just trying to identify the state I'm talking about since I've heard many people explain that same thing about the paralysis.

So during that state, many times I will hear music. But it's music I'm creating in my own head. Many times I am creating music that I've never heard before. Other times I will hear a song that I already know and I will be able to control the way that song plays and sounds. I can leave it alone and hear the song the way it normally sounds or I can think about changing certain things about the song and that will be what I hear. Not only that but I can sing during this but I'm almost never singing in my own voice. I can sing in the voice of my favorite artists and it isn't just that I can hear them singing but I can control it so that the way they are singing is the way I want to sing.

And the music and singing is always the most amazing things I have ever heard. But it really sucks because I'm not a musician so I will sometimes wake up with the music or lyrics fresh in my mind and I have no way of writing them down and I really aint that great a singer so I can't really sing what I just heard either lol

Does this happen to anyone else or am I alone here?
